So this was a few years back I was 15 and now I’m currently 19 so the details are a bit fuzzy. I had a “difficult trip” I guess? It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t always good either. I thought I was going to die multiple times and I also had waves of pure euphoria scattered between it. Honestly it was probably the most educational trip I’ve had so far. And I’ve tripped a lot since then. Mostly acid and lsa and yopo snuff. I’ve done shrooms a handful of times and would like to further explore them but they’re hard to come across in my area. Anyways enough of a rundown. It was my first trip and I had two tabs of some strong “double dipped” acid. I’m guessing they were 250ug each and I drop them both in a hotel room with my friend at the time who was going to be my sitter. We were in Wendover with his parents in aother room. The come up was slower than I thought and I began to worry that maybe it wasn’t actually acid or that I was ripped off. But then it hit. It hit harder than my other trips following it. It was like one moment nothing blink then slight patterns emerged. It was hard but nothing like dmt is described as. More like I opened my eyes and realized they were there and always have been. And I realize that people do stupid things on this stuff at that time so I give my friend my pocket knife and belt because I was in a bad place and I wanted guidance from my subconscious to aid with it. (Moderately suicidal, self harming, depressed, and battling severe anxiety since childhood at the time) he takes it and hides them from me while I go to the vending machine because I could still tolerate the mild effects, I was also an avid pot smoker so it felt similar just breathing and faint patterns on everything I saw. The trip was good for a while after that I just chilled out on the second bed and chatted with my buddy and spoke about things we usually talked about as freshmen. Skip forward it’s around midnight or so and the walls begin to breath heavily. Like they seemed livid with me. They start to feel like they’re closing in and I freak out and begin pushing the walls back to prevent my friend and myself from being crushed like the scene from Star Wars. The walls begin to calm down within a few minutes. And now that I don’t feel like I’m about to be juiced like an orange I lay down on the bed and stare at the ceiling watching the patterns and shapes cascade and dance around each other like a carefully coordinated ballet. I remember that it affects your pupils so I rush to the mirror and stare into my eyes. My face has floral patterns that look almost engraved into my flesh like I took a nap face down on a intricately woven web of fine rope. They move with my facial features and expressions. They’re awe inspiring and just stunningly beautiful. And then I get fixated on my eyes they’re huge my pupils are the size of nickels and there’s only a thin line of vibrant green around them. I feel as if I’m being pulled into them and I get closer to the mirror and I feel like if I go any closer I might be sucked into my two iris encircled black holes within my eye sockets. I drink some water from the tap and go back to the room. My friend has passed out by then probably slumped from trying to out smoke me earlier that day. I decide that I have the rest of the night for myself. I fuck around a bit walk around the casino/hotel in my sweats and socks just exploring the bright colorful lights and being in awe at everything as if I’m a child discovering the world for the first time. I feel like I might get lost if I go much further so I head back. I start feeling a sense of dread. What if I took too much. Could I overdose? Am I dying? My mind quickly falls into a negative spiral I google all my questions and the information I come across relieves me and I find I need to use the bathroom. I head in and do my business. As I’m sitting on the bowl I hear water drops I look behind the toilet and see water dripping from the pipes. I watch it and it puts me into a trance with the methodical drip drop splash drip drop splash. I sit there watching it for what feels like an eternity then I notice the water is pooling into the grout between the tiles. The water spreads faster as soon as I notice it till there’s a lattice of water around my feet and across the whole floor. This spooks next because the water if filling too quick. It begins to rise. It covers my feet within seconds and soon after it’s to my knees. I go for the door but can’t figure out the lock. I look back and see that it’s up to my chest. I know I’m going to die now. I’m going to drown. I decide that it’ll hurt more if I fight the water tearing into my lungs so I close my eyes and wait till I feel it above my head and take the deepest breath I could muster. And nothing. No pain. No sensation of suffocation or water in my lungs. I’m baffled. My eyes are still closed and I hear the dripping again. Same tempo. I slowly open my eyes afraid of what I might see. And there’s no water anywhere. I’m relieved. But there is something peculiar. A small dotted line moving towards the wall. I inspect it closer and there are these single file insects. They’re not like anything I’ve seen. They resembled ants only they had 4 body segments and 8-12 legs with no antena but they were the glossiest black I’ve ever seen and they’re crawling under the baseboard. I watch them for another 20 minutes or so and go back to bed and close the lights off. I try to sleep but to no avail. My closed eyes visuals are through the roof. Fireworks in 3D and shapes I can’t describe colors impossible to Imagine and I swear I was seeing higher dimensional shapes. Eventually I wonder what the open eyed visuals will be like. And when I do open them I see this tall figure in the darkness standing over my bed. He had no face he’s thin and slender. He seems as if he’s watching me. I was startled at first but he didn’t intimidate or scare me. I felt as if he was there as a protector. He was there to keep me safe. I expressed my gratitude to him and closed my eyes again. When I opened them next he was gone but there was a woman in the painting at the wall to my feet. She looked like medusa with her tongue flailing at me. I smiled and saw the beauty in her. But I felt that there was still caution to be held with her presence. I grow uneasy in the dark so I turn the lights back on and begin sitting and thinking observing my thoughts and focusing on the extravagant visuals and patterns that seem to be growing stronger. I see a thing looking at me in my peripherals and when I look it darts behind the corner so I shrug it off. I see it again. Same thing I look at it and it hides from me. I do this 5 or so times then grow irritated. I drowned and lived. I faced the snake lady in the painting and lied still and in peace while the 7 foot shadow man watched me. This thing can’t faze me now. I’ve conquered many of my problems. This must be the final boss so I go to the corner where it is and within a few seconds I see a furry creature hunched over with claws and gnarled teeth it looks at me and disappears as if it was never there. I can’t remember much else between then and when we needed to load up and head back home. But on the trip there I still felt like I was tripping just not as hard. Thoughts were more profound and the clouds were a metallic chrome with a rainbow lining. (Fuck silver linings this was way better) but the 3 hour trip gave me much time to reflect on my experience. I had to work when I got back at the snow cone shack in town so nothing too serious. I draw a lot. On paper and on my friends arm. And end up passing out at a little before close, luckily it was dead and my coworker was understanding and generous. She gave me a ride back home and I promptly go to bed and get my well deserved rest.
I’ll pictures of the snake lady and the drawings. Also none of my other experiences have been nearly this visually potent. Except for the time I met a god on mushrooms.
